The monoprintmaking process gives
me an unending stream of visual gifts.
Variations and interactions of ink viscosity, pressure applied
by the press, and the type of paper used create special effects
only possible in printmaking. Also,
I allow myself the freedom to use hand additions, collage, - whatever
it takes to get the work to where I want it to be.
Currently, I’m working on a series called “Vintage
Industrial”; simple geometric building forms with surface
treatments suggesting corrosion and impurities. This is
an extension of my work using low-relief discarded objects.
Before residing in Galisteo, I taught in the Visual Art Department
at Brookline High School in Massachusetts. My live-in studio
was at the Brickbottom Artist’s Building in Somerville,
