| Vernon Wilson is a resident of Galisteo,
New Mexico, returning to his home state after teaching painting
and drawing for thirty years in Pasadena, California at the Art
Center College of Design. While working in Los Angeles, he had
the longest continuous studio work shop influencing hundreds of
diverse professionals committed to drawing and painting. Vernon
continues painting and drawing in his Galisteo studio. With his
wife, Dianne, they operate Lyrictrout Press printing wood engravings,
wood blocks, etchings and small edition books.
Vernon was one of the founding members of the first cooperative
gallery in Los Angeles, California, The 7th Street Gallery.
He has exhibited in various galleries and spaces. Currently,
he is represented at the New Mexico Printmakers Gallery in
Santa Fe, New Mexico. |
